Guided by this vision, our sustainable yacht building strategy defines how we serve our Clients, support our communities and reduce our environmental impact on the oceans we depend on. We focus on two key pillars: Minimum Emissions and Maximum Impact. Process and Governance underpin both, ensuring clarity, consistency and measurable progress.
We minimise emissions across our yachts, operations and supply chain by integrating smart technologies, circular material choices and energy-efficient solutions. In doing so, we help our Clients reduce emissions and operating costs, accelerate decarbonisation and strengthen their performance, while reinforcing Damen Yachting’s competitive position.
Our efforts focus on three areas: our solutions, our yards and our supply chain. Through both new build and refit, we improve energy and material efficiency, guided by the 3R regenerative framework, Reduce, Remove and Repair, and a strong focus on circularity and lifecycle thinking.
In collaboration with Damen Shipyards Group, the Yacht of the Future programme explores alternative propulsion systems and fuels, smart technologies to support a more energy-efficient and future-ready generation of yachts.
At our yards, we are building a Net-Zero Yard roadmap, with initial focus areas including waste reduction and energy efficiency. At the same time, improvements in product design and operational practices increasingly influence choices within our supply chain.
