SeaXplorer 77 interior design concept by Monaco Yacht Temptation

For your inspiration, we’re delighted to present MYT’s interior concept for the SeaXplorer 77 luxury expedition yacht. We’re offering the next SeaXplorer 77 for a maverick yacht owner with a passion for exploration.

Carlo Torre and his studio Monaco Yacht Temptation were chosen by the Owners of the first SeaXplorer, the 62-metre ANAWA (203 ft), to create the yacht’s interior design with Damen Yachting.

A native of Genoa, Carlo has a lifetime connection with the sea and earned his design reputation at a renowned Italian sailing yacht builder. Working with international owners and collaborating with other designers, he now operates his own management and design studio working on a wide range of yachting projects.

“Near Genoa you can find fantastic villas between the mountain and sea. Typical for the area with beautiful sea views, they are understated yet with highest quality local materials and craftsmanship. This is what inspired my design. The black Lavagna slate and the floor boards of Italian Castagno, the materials themselves are very rich, but it creates a home with simplicity and respect for nature around us. To me, that fits very well with the explorer concept.”

Designer Carlo Torre

  • 95 square metres (1,023 sq ft)
  • Sliding glass doors open to the outdoor dining and swimming pool

Enjoy spectacular vantage points from the SeaXplorer’s Observation Lounge with 270-degree panoramic views. Step outside to the unique bow-point Observation Deck to experience the journey ahead.

“In the Observation Lounge, the show is outside, I wanted something not just focussed inboard, but also to enjoy what’s outside, the feeling of being there as much as possible.”

This is where legends are made. From your 50 square-metre indoor Observation Lounge (538 sq ft), bear witness as your SeaXplorer crosses culture and time. Sail among remote islands where you can step back through the millennia and into a world of tribal folklore.

Making use of the Owners Suite’s large footprint, Carlo Torre’s interior concept recalls a luxurious loft. Each space within the suite has its purpose, separated by sliding panels. You can invite guests to the lounge, while the stateroom and bathroom are out of sight. Or open up the spaces for full beam sightlines and the luxury of a big, attractive ambiance.

  • The 95 square metres (1,023 sq ft) forward on Main Deck include a lounge/office area, stateroom, bathroom and his and hers dressing
  • Blind, curtain and air-conditioning control
  • Lighting and light scene control
  • Steward call system

On Upper Deck the SeaXplorer’s second main stateroom (67.5 square metres / 727 sq ft) makes her ideal for shared charter use with two principals, or alternatively as a suite for your most important guests.

The Upper Owner Suite has a stateroom area as well as private day room, desk, his and her dressing and bathroom. The chaise longue at the window keeps you in touch with nature outside.

Entering the Beach Club from the transom, the optional pool creates an elegantly defined space. Wood panels delimitate the large full-beam volume without closing off the space. Turn around and you can see through the panels to appreciate the entire full-beam area.

“I imagine this space with a pool. It brings the outside in, particularly in areas where you might not want to swim in the sea if it is cold or there are sharks. The water gives a feeling of depth and complements the reflective surfaces at the end of the pool and ceiling to amplify the space.”

The 108 square-metre Spa and Wellness Beach Club (1,163 sq ft) features:

  • Hammam area with whirlpool, ice fountain, sauna and steam room
  • Massage/beauty salon and shower
  • Gymnasium, fitness area
  • Changing room, day head
