Amels yacht CALYPSO delivered after major refit
Sold in 2016, CALYPSO’s new Owner opted to return her to the original builder for a major refit. This was the second refit for the 61.5-metre Amels yacht (originally delivered as SOLEMAR in 2003) after her first Owner brought her back in 2004 for modifications. She departed our yard in January 2017 following her complete transformation during an 11-month Refit project. Sailing under her new name CALYPSO, she looks more beautiful than ever.

A NEW LEASE OF LIFE
Respray
We completely repainted the yacht, restoring her exterior lines to glimmering perfection. Our renowned Amels paint managers ensured the absolute highest quality paintwork in our climate-controlled drydock.
Crew interiors
The crew interiors have been fully refreshed and we installed a new galley and wheelhouse bridge equipment. The main engines, generators and mechanical systems have been overhauled.
New luxury interiors
With the Owner’s choice of interior designer Aileen Rodriguez, CALYPSO has a luxurious and charming interior that respects the integrity of the original build. The remarkably spacious two-storey Master Stateroom has a clear head height of over 4 metres (13.5 ft) and is illuminated by a spectacular oval skylight, as well as two levels of windows. Stairs lead up from the bedroom to a private observatory lounge, study and bar area.
