At Amels and Damen Yachting, which is part of the Damen Shipyards Group, we have responded to the corona virus crisis in a number of ways. In so doing it is our aim now, as always, to place health and wellbeing as top priority. This goes not only for our own colleagues, but all those with whom they may come into contact.
The measures we have taken include requesting our personnel to work from home, wherever possible. Where this is not possible, for example, in the case of our production staff, we are arranging shifts and taking other steps to reduce contact to a minimum. You can read more about how the group is handling the crisis on damen.com.
Despite these vitally important and very necessary measures, we remain open for business. Fortunately, we are well-prepared for the challenge, having in place a robust IT network, able to ensure the connection of our colleagues and the continuity of much of our work off-location. During these times we retain our focus on the projects we are currently working on for our clients, whilst simultaneously working hard to minimise the impact and spread of the virus.
We have a very cooperative culture at Damen Yachting so I am sure we can get through this together and I know that many of you in the industry are also dealing with this very difficult crisis and I hope we can support each other. In the meantime I hope everyone will stay well, will stay safe and that we take care of each other.
