Vlissingen: passionate yacht builders
Both our yards in Vlissingen share our pool of yacht building talent and integrated services as well as the industry’s best supply chain and subcontractors on our doorstep.
It is through our heritage that we can offer today’s innovative solutions.
In 1961 the Dutch shipbuilder Royal Schelde moved from Vlissingen to the nearby Sloe area and began what is now Damen’s Vlissingen East yard. The Royal Schelde was the first company to start out in the Sloe area, and it has since become a major industrial area. The site is strategically located close to the major North Sea shipping routes and at the centre of the ARA ports region.
