The spiritual home of Dutch shipbuilding for 700 years
Vlissingen City is built on one of the oldest shipbuilding sites in Europe. Vessels of all shapes and sizes have been built here for centuries. The nearby Dokje van Perry, built in 1704 and now restored as a tourist attraction, is the oldest drydock in the Netherlands and one of the oldest in the world.
