Update 30 October: Due to the recent increase in coronavirus cases in Europe and subsequent lockdown in France, the organisers have taken the decision to cancel the upcoming Explorer Yachts Summit, scheduled to take place on 12 November in Monaco. As title sponsors, Damen Yachting supports this decision and looks forward to the 2021 event!
September 2020: The team at Damen Yachting are title sponsors of the BOAT Live: Explorer Yachts Summit to be held in Monaco on 12 November. The builder of the SeaXplorer range of luxury expedition yachts has decided to fully back the only event dedicated solely to the expanding explorer yachting sector.
The SeaXplorer design team were key speakers at the inaugural summit in 2019, which focussed many minds on the developing expedition market. With the first two SeaXplorers completed and a third now under construction, the busy Netherlands-based design team have witnessed the client exploration trend first-hand.
“We’ve all seen how rapidly the world is changing,” Rose Damen, Managing Director of Amels and Damen Yachting says. “Luxury expedition yachting offers a new way to see the world in complete autonomy and safety, themes that we believe will shape the future of yachting. The BOAT Live: Explorer Yachts Summit is an ideal format for the explorer leaders to get together and sharpen minds. So we’re proud to support the team at Boat International with this important event. We’re also grateful to Cantiere delle Marche and Triton Submarines as well as ExplorerYachts.com for their support.”
The summit will take place at the Yacht Club de Monaco on 12 November 2020. Damen Yachting will also be sharing details of recent builds including the first SeaXplorer, the 62-metre ANAWA, the brand new 77-metre LA DATCHA. Built as the ultimate heli-skiing and adventure platform, LA DATCHA is preparing for her busy 2021 worldwide charter itinerary.
The third SeaXplorer is a 55-metre SeaXplorer 55 yacht now under construction for 2022 delivery.
